I'm Trying to Find Me

I'm trying to figure out exactly who I want to be
There's so many doors to unlock with this one little key
You're trying to help, but you're just getting in the way
Please just stop where you're at and stay

I promise I'll come around when I'm done
I just want to live and have fun
But you're stressing me out
I'm starting to hate you without a doubt

You were never forced to be superior
While trying to fix a troubled interior
I know you just want what's best for me
I'm not going to beg and plead for you to leave me be

Stay out of my way
At least for today
I need to find myself on my own
In the end, you'll be surprised by how much I've grown
