Smile

I plaster on a fake smile for all the world to see
All the while wondering what you think of me.
You don't know me, and yet I try to be good
So you will think I'm in a constant "good mood"
Why can't I be real in a world that doesn't care
I know it's been said, but life really isn't fair.
I sit here and wonder if anyone sees
Through my fake smile to the real me.
Without You
Confusion enters my being,
taking over my mind like a disease,
I don't know where I'm going anymore,
I just wish it was with you,
You blew my mind like a candle,
left me standing here staring at nothing,
I can't remember how I ever lived without you,
I was reborn within,
Now I sit here, all alone and confused,
Should I cry for my loss,
or cry that I saw what could have been,
Should I cry at all,
When I don't know if I can go through it again?
