Love Is

Love is nothing that I want any part of;
Love is nothing that I can understand:
An unruly child, disobedient and rude;
Out of control, flaunting every command.
Oh Yeah! I’ve heard it said so many times,
How love is what makes the world go round;
Well, I’m sick of its grinning, spinning;
Left dazed, flat on my bum here on the ground.
I’ve thrown myself at love so many times;
Bashed my brains and heart out against its wall;
Tripped, gone down, got up, then down again;
Each time taking a kick in the a**e as I fall.
Oh God! I've cried enough; I’ve had it this time,
I'm bundling up all that misery and sorrow;
Shoving it with my washing right under the bed,
And won’t touch it again; well, at least till tomorrow.
