Is my love for you an uninvited desire
Or simply a reflection, reminding you of me

You've heard my lonely dreams in desperate poetic whispers
While your silence screams at me, my screams of love cannot be silenced

Forgive this love soldiers war-weary heart, his sole target is
Survival of an extraordinary love held within your gentle grasp

On loves battlefield the abandoned buildings and rubble strewn streets
Are aftermath of all the lonely nights waiting, waiting your love be awakened

Awaken her love, gentle winds, untether her heart for me
Wing your way to her essence and share again of my unfettered love

This love eternal, burning like a Suns relentless scorching of desert sands
Thunders through fields and pastures, like the cannons of battle

The sky aglow at sunset, floods my soul, like flairs in the night
Searching for signs of your love, be shared with me

Hopes and prayers never ending, time and life changes nothing
Time can only stare and life is befuddled by this eternal love for you
