To my inspiration

Such a sad, brilliant soul
Searching through all eternity for his lost Lenore
As the solemn church bell does toll
He walks this earth no more
Yet he IS here
A Stately Raven at his side
Dark walls enrapture my fear
As into a deep slumber I slide
Inspiration comes in waves of red
The raven eye's PIERCE my soul
Opening all the doors that were closed in my head
Poetry helps to make me whole
And my inspiration is like an engulfing fire
Each line makes the flames rise higher
And I must give the credit to whom it does go
To the greatest poet that ever lived, Edgar Allan Poe
