Your Friends Over Her

Please tell me you don’t see,
All the hurtful things you do.
Please tell me that you’d never harm me;
That there’ll be no more pain you put me through.
Because if I ever knew you meant to do those things,
I can’t even describe how much I’d be hurt.
I mean, I have always been there for you,
Even when you abandoned me, or gave no effort.
If ever I find just why it is,
You’d use me and then leave me cold;
Chances are I’d never anyone trust again;
I’d believe no word I was told.
Please tell me you’ll never go back to her,
Please tell me that’s something you’ll never do.
And if you ever think of going back to her,
Just remember “my friends over you”.
