Today I'm finding my own adventures,
I refuse to wait any longer,
I'm going to make a difference in my own life,
Today.
Today I'm dancing in the rain
And I don't care what people think,
Today I refuse to follow the convention
Of the crowd.
Today I'm going to spoil myself
And refuse to wait for others
To do it for me,
I will not wait any longer.
I'm will not wait for the phone to ring,
In fact, I'm turning it off,
And I'm treating myself
To a hot bubble bath
And sweet music.
Today,
I'm climbing mountains,
Fording rivers,
Learning to play an instrument,
Finally going to the gym
Like I promised myself five years ago
That I would.
Today I refuse to wait
For one more tomorrow
To pass me by,
Or for a friend to do it for me.
Today, and all of its promises
Are mine.
For I am worth it.
I am special.
And I don't need to hear it from anyone
Other than myself.
I am strong.
And I know that I can do it alone.
Today is mine.
And I am going to live it.
