Regrets of Living Date: Thursday, 1st April 2004 @ 12:02:58 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry Contributed By: essentially9 Regrets of Living I'm so afraid of living a lie That I forget to live at all I'm so afraid of going on That I forget to move forward I'm so afraid of stepping up That I'm stepping down My fears are my worst regrets And that is all I have left My regrets of everything Have equaled into this I'm stepping farther down And with every step I'm at the beginning again I will relive my regrets over And over in my head I'll never get over the past I'll never get a future But that won't stop death It still hunts its prey And I fear that one day I'll be killed from it or fear There is nowhere to go And I'm stuck in this world I'm so afraid of living a lie And I don't know why I'm so tired of endlessly Living on for tomorrow When tomorrow never comes I live in yesterday And never will leave The present slips away While I am slipping farther The present can't catch up I'm too far away Tomorrow is just a day away Yet, I'll never see it There is nowhere to go anyways This poem is Copyright © essentially9 Important note: ALL POETRY ON THIS SITE IS COPYRIGHT.
