Where does honesty lay,
Life
In this net of lies, we call our lives,
Ideology, culture, tradition, perspective,
All woven into our minds,
Like a wicker basket,
Hanging, dangling, a fine line of fallacies,
That design, define, our characters, lost fruits of labor,
Lost in pop culture, where it seems celebrities have diplomatic immunity,
And control of our destinies, unless we step back to the community,
I was sent back to right mysteries of the mind,
Like sweet grapes off the vine,
Truth shall seep like sweet redemption, red wine,
I shall sweep the streets once again divine,
I shall bear the shame of all mankind,
Which I shall shrug off in due time,
The path to true liberty is picking batlles, a long hard climb,
But my engines reved up for the ride,
The inner fire inside,
Is the oil that moves me forward,
The way I can laugh and cry at the sametime,
Always moving forward,
Where does honesty lay,
Somewhere on the horizon,
Right past our lives.
