Heaven
Not knowing the truth,
Tears me at the roots,
Makes me want to fly to heaven and cut loose,
But then again I refuse to lose,
If life’s a bittersweet game,
I’m going down with Uncle Sam,
Not the son of Sam,
Step back and realize heaven may be great, but it ain’t the same,
Heaven is life without anxiety,
But maybe things are determined to be,
In Heaven you have no destiny,
No Glory, to look back on,
If you don’t hold on,
And be strong, though the days be long,
And history seems torn,
Each step we take the spirits watch and anticipate,
For all those souls who died and
Before they could reach old age,
It’s for them we turn the page,
And carry on, though the battle be tough, and the road be long.
