Compassionate Struggle
Date: Monday, 1st March 2004 @ 09:55:19 AM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry

One stands
At the other's throat
The one
Kneeling
Hands reaching
Grasping for compassion
The one thing
The other can give not
It angers both
In longing for warmth
And openly requesting
A cold
Strong pair of hands
Is placed to harm
For the fear
Of not pleasing
As well as
Losing control
And being hurt
Both in fear
And anger
Are alike
