Unforgiven

I want to fade
like the gleaming attractions
of compact discs and shiny
holograms.
I want to be forgotten
in the lust of progress,
sated by these plugs and
sockets.
I want to become lost,
in skips with tangled, wet wires.
thinking about how useful
I once was.
Instead, I am still here,
with you and my
switches.
