Underneath a clear night sky.
I was looking up at stars.
You were looking in my eyes.

We were both there quite unaware,
Of much about each other.
You had a crush on someone else.
And I too loved another.

But we were paired together,
And talked the whole night through.
We took a walk and laughed a lot.
It was then I fell for you!

The guy that you were longing for,
Was there with another girl.
The girl that I was chasing,
Wasn’t happy in my world.

But they were soon forgotten.
And, as I looked into your eyes,
The stars were not as pretty,
As the girl who became my Prize!
