Your Poetry Dot Com - New Material?

Today, I would write something new
At least that was the plan
But, all I think of is you
All else is in the can

I'm sorry to disappoint you
There's no new material
I know you like this too
Having no doubts of what I feel

Christine was right all along
I just couldn't see
To you, I do belong
I don't want to be free

I wish I'd seen sooner
What was right in front of my face
If I'd just believed her
So much time, wouldn't have been a waste

Now that I see,
I want to focus on you
To think of you with me
And to you, being true

I like to think of you as mine
And of me being yours
The equivalent of a neon sign
Stating I am yours for sure

Someday to come
I'll explore new avenues
But for this one, I’m done
And again, it’s about you
