the unwashed edginess
about you like a wild dog
draws me like a wick
closer to you than i should ever be
alone in the wilderness
this passion is undeniable
crashing through the underbrush
prey
pray
you do not catch me
too soon
out of breath
heart pounding moment
before you close the distance
take me down
to the soft ground
your teeth at my throat
your breath warm on my skin
prey
pray
do that again
the moon appears
from behind her veil of clouds
silver light pours over us
eyes locked in a battle
ages old and never ending
prey
pray
exhale and breathe the last sin
we are the wild things
that run in the night
untamed and untamable
