A Call to Shadows

I will this vibrant cooling,
to drain a day of everything wrong,
from a shuttered dwelling.
Maybe this tepid fooling,
will entice them before long,
to notice a spark failing.
Maybe once, you'll cross the meadow,
weave through puddles of loss,
and grasp all we have shown.
No, Forget this call to shadows,
and live without the thoughts,
that rot a pitiful home.
