A Lifetime

You mean much to me,
If I ever lost you,
I do not know what I would do.
You bring a buzz to my heart,
One I have not felt in ages.
We hardly know each other,
Yet my heart tells me otherwise,
It says we have known each other all along,
That it all began lifetimes ago.
I can see us as children,
Playing in the yellow sands of Egypt,
Teens,
Falling in love in the rain forests of Brazil,
An elderly couple,
Bickering in an old-fashioned village of Spain.
Some will call me crazy,
Some will say that I am seeing what I want,
An illusion of us I have created for myself,
Who knows, They may be right,
But I know the feeling of safety you project,
It makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
What ever the case may be, I love you,
Nothing will ever change that,
If Maiden Hecate has promised us no future as lovers,
I can handle this,
A better friend she could not have supplied.
