Defying My Own Gravity

The creation of greed is stifled
Exempting all who approach in glee
Happiness and sorrow are stapled
They stare for so long but they don’t see

A quarter of my being is daft
The other is trying to release
The next follows its own fearful path
The last is brilliant and a tease

All come forward now, like a magnet
Huge crowds search for the finish line
Seizing to vomit their tears in a set
I try to help everyone but its just mine

I can’t approach myself to understand
Letting in my breath is harder to do
The thoughts sift through my hand like sand
When all I try to present is the truth, true?
