I awakened early this morning to start my usual day,
Something felt quite different, just what I couldn't say.
After getting all prepared for work, I headed out the door,
All the while thinking to myself...........
There has to be something more,
I just couldn't shake this feeling, a feeling unknown to me,
Not a physical pain, but more that of anxiety.
Hopefully by days end this uneasiness will have passed..............we'll see.

Time went by so slowly, now I'm heading home,
Driving by myself, yet not feeling all alone.
Sensing a Spiritual Presence of someone I love and hold dear,
Whispering something very softly in my ear.
With the noise from all the traffic, it was hard for me to hear.
Saying a Prayer to safely make it home.

Finally once inside my house, I laid down wanting nothing but to sleep,
Saying another Prayer to the Lord for my Soul to keep.
Awakened by the Sweetest sound one can ever hear.............
Not remembering walking........how did I end up here?
That feeling of anxiety lifted, my heart now at ease,
Serenity prevails.
There beside me on the Plush Green Grass lay my Sweet Little Abigail.

Looking like an Angel as she quietly sleeps,
Her Sparrow in the Chestnut Tree singing his song so sweet.
Looking all around the land saying, "this is where I belong,
Just then the Sparrow started singing a different song.
A song that sounded so familiar, struggling hard to place....................................
Finally it came to me, it was "Amazing Grace!"
Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me,
I once was lost, but now am found was blind but now I see.

Abby lay there humming the same song,
Even the Polliwogs near the backyard pond were singing along too.
After such a restful nap, we went on to play,
This time was somehow different, Abigail didn't ask how long I could stay.
We played on and on.......played the day away.
Not once did she mention her Parents, as if there was a change..............
I told her it was time for me to go, but this time she shed no tears,
I thought to myself .........how strange!

She held my hand so tightly as we walked, the road was very near,
I turned and gave her the biggest hug trying to say good-bye,
All at once she pulled my arm with all her Spiritual Might.
Shouting "Stop, I love you, this time you don't have to go,
If you try and cross the boundary, you'll disappear."
Standing there for a moment Abby still tightly holding my hand..................
It all became clear to me, now I understand.

The Lord knew she needed me, as I needed her too.
It was all part of his divine plan.
That feeling of anxiety has long since gone away,,
In it's place stood Serenity that's how we'll always stay.
Home to stay with my Abigail and our loving friend the Sparrow,
There's no other place I'd rather be..............
Her Big Blue Eyes lit up just like a Christmas Tree.

I looked to the sky with nothing but tears of Joy and Praise,
Knowing that we'll be together for all our Spiritual Days.
Shouting "I'm free..............I'm free............I'm finally free."
So thankful for taking my walks on the unkept road,
Most of all to our Sparrow who guided me.

Abigail, the Sparrow and I Forever!
