A Colorless Dream

Caught in a golden sunrise,
Its touch coloring the clouds pink.
Captured in its pure essence
Unable to take a blink.
A realm of blurred reality,
Lost within a painted dream.
Running along its watery grounds,
Nothing is truly what it seems.
I have to get away,
From whoever is chasing me.
I have to run away,
From something that I just can’t see.
Running along with the wind,
The ground leaving my feet.
Higher up into the air,
The clouds, I’ve come to greet.
It’s still right behind me though,
It just touched my heels.
I soar higher, past the pink cotton,
To the opening of what heaven has sealed.
I break through the sky,
To find the security of space.
Pausing for a moment,
To absorb all its beauty and grace.
I find comfort up here,
Well out of It’s reach.
But to accomplish this feat,
Heaven, I had to breach.
The vision soon evaporates,
And leaves nothing but a silent scream.
Now nothing else has come to exist,
But just a colorless dream.
