To The Wife Of My Youth

Let me remember thy fair face once more,
when ye first came to me with youth aglow.
Let me remember thee in time of yore,
when ye first spoke to me thy sweet hello.
Two eyes of deep and wholesome blue now seen,
windows reflecting heaven's wondrous gates.
And ye were comely being maid sixteen,
on stage for me brought by the Living Fates.
Such smile didst breach this rogue's defense that day,
and I found my heart wanting thee as wife.
Anon, then I didst wait for thee to say:
" Yes, I'll love thee Ramfire till sleep ends life"
Let me remember sweet years breathed with thee,
A toast to golden times yet made to be.

Let Me Remember - Shakespearean Sonnet
To The Wife Of My Youth

Let me remember thy fair face once more,
when ye first came to me with youth aglow.
Let me remember thee in time of yore,
when ye first spoke to me thy sweet hello.
Two eyes of deep and wholesome blue now seen,
windows reflecting heaven's wondrous gates.
And ye were comely being maid sixteen,

Such smile didst breach this rogue's defense that day,
and I found my heart wanting thee as wife.
Anon, then I didst wait for thee to say:
" Yes, I'll love thee Ramfire till sleep ends life"
Let me remember sweet years breathed with thee,
A toast to golden times yet made to be.
