Topic: Sad Poetry

Contributed By: macmcgovern

frozen in glacier,
before recorded time,
suddenly calved,
unlocked after millennia,
free at last,
released into a frigid,
liquid mass,
to meld with the rest,
from distant past,
plummeting around arctic vast,
some to be recovered very fast,
others to mingle,
in viscous harmony,
as generations pass,
a single droplet,
identical to all others,
unrecognizable,
in cosmic ocean,
suddenly trapped,
once more,
in frozen form,
the future to repeat,
become the past,
will recycle again,
when suddenly calved
