Nothing Lasts Forever

So you sit in tears for someone you couldn't love the right way.
Just wishing and fighting the pain away.
No matter what you said, you couldn't make the feelings stay.
Forced a lie that made it all o.k.
Lived with all the feelings you were sure were real.
But you were playing with a fate that you couldn't seal.
Only when you were challenged, did you even begin to feel.
You created the gaping wounds that await to heal.
So you blame yourself for what you know you did.
How were you suppose to know, you're only a kid.
Now choking you, the fears you thought you hid.
Everything pours out, all the hates and annoyances of which you wish you were rid.
It was simply complicated all along.
Just said what you felt and it was taken completely wrong.
Can't believe it took so long.
But all those things, you had to prolong.
Couldn't tell the truth to the one who cared most about you.
Sleeping at night, knowing there's nothing you can do.
You turn around and so it's through.
Saying the feelings were never really true.
But it was all true inside.
You were too scared, you lied.
But everything, you could not hide.
Now all that is good, has gone and died.
Nothing lasts forever.
