I’m done being blinded by ignorance.
Feel free to judge me for confessing,
But I don’t want to live in denial,
of the seven deadly sins.

It’s time to set aside,
Any leftover pride.
I’ve realized you are a filthy lie,
To your rules I will not abide.

Staying humble is much more rewarding,
Because it’s not all about me.
But insecurities and comparisons can lead to envy,
Does anyone else agree?

Self-control and modesty are a must,
To defeat that deadly sin lust.
A wicked distraction from love,
It’ll eat away at your heart like rust.

Another sin I’ve found to be a total bust,
Is that deadly sin wrath.
It leaves behind a bitter cold draft,
And destroys anything in its path.

Sloth is the deadly sin,
That has consumed me when I’m down.
It serves no good purpose,
At least that’s what I’ve found.

As I’ve been pulling up every weed,
I stumbled across some greed.
Generosity is much more uplifting,
It’s a far better deed.

I have struggled the least with gluttony,
Since I’m fairly picky about what I eat.
But that doesn’t make me any better,
I think we all have something,
that once made us weak.
