In the center of a young woman’s heart
Whose scope for the imagination is unlimited
Yet whose battle with reality is perpetual

Who champions the substance of true romance
Yet is quite guarded in the arena thereof
Who takes delight in preserving propriety
Yet makes great strides in exposing the folly in such

Who enjoys the ballroom as much as the next
Yet is choosy with her partners
Who vows to marry only for affection
Yet struggles to uncover such a pearl

Who oftentimes feels antiquated in morals
Yet progressive in individual philosophy
Who loves with all her heart
In hopes of a return of equal adoration [comments] => 0 [counter] => 74 [topic] => 55 [informant] => Deidra_Carmichael [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Jane Austen Lives

Jane Austen lives
