Come to shame me; come to claim me, thru the padlocked door.

Where she lay her head. Her silken pillow bled.
Tangled leaves beneath her sleeves, Entwined our wedding bed.

We shall not lie alone. So said this ragged bone.
Refuse me not. Hast thou forgot, Your vow to be my own?

Not a sound the morning found.
Beside me now she sleeps.
And I shall scream unheard, unseen,
Beneath the earth too deep.

Rosepetals on the floor. The scent of her once more!
