well take my shoes for a day
and walk my path

see if you don/'/t cringe
at the sight of a child
whose parents can/'/t love each other

see if you don/'/t frown
at the daily stress you face
once you wake up

see if you don/'/t want to yell or scream
at the frustrations of a job
that you once love or liked

see if you don/'/t break down
knowing that the person you once saw a future with
decides to leave you
because their happiness is more important

but most importantly
let/'/s see if you don/'/t cry
knowing that
no matter how much you give,
the life you live
will never be satisfied
