Drive she said

Cant remember when it happened
but I remember the smell
as the minds and the bodies were melting
somehow we were slowly assimilated
and became cogs in the machine
on the assembly line in this burning confusion
Even though I was Over medicated
I knew that automation was to be hated
somehow I had to reach that utopia that was unknown
I drove the chevy to the levy at midnight
but it was to late
the water of knowledge was all gone-
I was conflicted
as I watched common sense expire
anger and rage took over
while the old ways singe in the fire
I was standing in line when she found me
she said her name was revelation
and the revolution must begin
but for now we must flee
The landscape was filled with road kill
many on the highway in hell never escaped
crippled pilgrims and the Innocent
were overwhelmed in the new wave
There are millions of people
who are vacant
they are every where that I am not
they have become the walking dead
the strain off this infection will be hard to stop
In the distance
I hear thunder
as the cities crumbled to the ground
I wanted to turn and go back
but she said just drive
there is nothing you can do now.
