I let night swallow me whole,
giving myself entirely to the void;
a strange solace
in the waning of my soul,
leaving me beneath the absent glow
of a new moon,
blind to it/'/s waxing light;
the colors of the lonesome night
lost to my eyes eclipsed
as the voices whisper
through the movement of my lips
words without meaning,
while apathy resigns me
to idle daydreaming.
