Trying just to love
Washing off the paint
Living with the stains
Turning all these pages
Touching down on better places

Grounding in this earth
Measuring our worth
Breathing through the pangs
Asking if it`s strange
How we`ve come to bare
More soul than lovers ever dared

Forgetting our lines
Stumbling, so blind
Sleeping through the morn
Waking up in thorns
Staying up all night
The longest road, no end in sight

Getting off that ride
Walking now in stride
Coming oh so clean
Feeling oh so free
Nowhere left to run
The battle`s done, look what we`ve won [comments] => 2 [counter] => 59 [topic] => 16 [informant] => MoonlitAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry ) Your Poetry Dot Com - Coming Clean
