Leaping Lighter

I seek the next plain.
Oh!, invisible ledge I to leap,

away, from stain to stain as
ledge to ledge,

edge ever more refined,
lighter with each climb.

This time and each
break a piece; off

to the tailings!, growing,
piling failures;

Lo! Teacher Time has with
itself lighted ballast in my mind,

as tailings dark
demyst to opalesque lessons, refined

all the lighter now
for my next leap.
