i never got to smoke a joint
never got to kiss a girl
never got to do anything that normal kids do
i was too busy saving this world

everyone ***** about their parents
but none of your stories can top mine
my father hated me so much
that he let me be tortured and crucified

you see, my father ***** up alot
and no one much cared for him at all
so, rather than fixing his own mess
he was more than happy to let me take the fall

to prove his love for all of you
he let his son die of asphyxiation
but, if he let his own son die, for people who hate him
how well do you expect him to treat his creations

and i really wish you'd take my name off your religion
you're making me look like an ass
everytime one of you screws up in my name
everyone points at me and laughs

you people don't think much
i see that clearly now
in the way that you still kneel
before the same dead sacred cow
what was i thinking
martyring myself for you
the decent among you don't love me
only the idiots do
you preen and you posture
spouting scripture and rhyme
all the while pacified by the thought
that my kingdom is thine
well THERE IS NO KINGDOM
just death and a grave
so get off of your knees
and stop being a slave
live your life for the moment
don't waste it trying to be like me
i've been dead 2000 years
and i'm still not free
i wasted my life
for my idiot dad
who was too damned aloof
to see what a good son he had
so he sent me to die
to correct his mistakes
and i died for naught
amidst all of you apes
my father failed me
and he will fail all of you
he can't help it, he's a ***** up
it's all he knows how to do
so just go on with your lives
and forget about me
or you'll hang on a cross
and you'll suffer like me

you'll die on that cross
for your stupidity
