If he needed comfort, she was attracted;
The greater his problems, the more she reacted.
Knowing his neediness soon would beguile;
Feminine nurturing, as for a child.

Here was a chance she couldn’t resist;
To turn back the clock and finally fix;
Rejections of childhood that so badly marred her.
Lock and key mating; buried in ardor.

She is his safety; He is her goal;
Someone to blame while hes out of control!
She needs to fix him; make right his mistakes;
The more that she does, the less effort he makes.

Marriage will break this fragile affection;
Neither can trust for their own self protection!
He will go on to find a new mother;
She will seek out a needier other.
-------------------------------------------------
Continue to do what we do and regret;
That over and over, we get what we get.
In hormones we trust, except with a stranger;
(The more were compelled; the greater the danger!)

You may see cowards of those who escape;
(Leaving the lure with their mouths wide agape);
My heros are those who can flush with affection;
And promptly make haste in the other direction!
