Why Can't They See?

All my friends
Seem to think they know who I am
And each and every little thing
That is me
If they only knew
None of it is true
But again they are so blind
To my frame of mind
To them God shone down upon me
A special kind of life
A kind of life
They all want theirs to be
But they know not
The man that I am
I/'/m living a life God chose for me
Not the kind of life
I wanted it to be
But what good is it all
If I can/'/t just be me
A walk in a parade
Can never be
The life I live is nothing more
Than a complicated charade
I/'/m living a life
God handed down to me
Oh why can/'/t they see
It/'/s not who I wanted to be
