Forget It

I bet you think your woman's true,
That she's the only one for you,
That you've invented love anew -
Forget it.
I bet she's sworn undying love,
That's steadfast as the stars above,
But when it comes to push or shove -
Forget it.
I bet love-light shines from her face,
She makes your foolish, fond heart race,
You'll find more truth in a wh***'s embrace -
Forget it.
For money, mansions, fancy cars,
Outweigh a poor man's love by far,
Well, women are what women are -
Forget it.
