Into the night we fly;
The headlights turn to spikey stars.
The signs are whizzing by;

The amber stripes become a smear;
The road an endless loop;
Beneath my wheels they disappear;
Behind me they regroup.

Cars flash lights and honk at me;
But Ive no cause for worry;
I have to slow to read the signs;
Most of which are blurry.

They told me this was dangerous;
A myth that I debunked;
By counting on your vigilance;
So I could drive home drunk.

By counting on your vigilance;
So I could drive home drunk.
