watching the sky
throw down snow

the many sounds
of quiet
bigger than me

deep in my bones
my own bright
dead thoughts

winter hush
with so much
to remember and swallow

the heart-beat
slows
the ice forms

the leftover pills
in the drawer
the soft blankets

artfully abandoned
journals whisper in use
of disorderly thoughts

gone silent again
down in the dark
watching from the bottom

what is left of me
to become
where to keep it

coal-hard knot
buried between
almost dreams

flutter the wind-blown chill
glaze fractured
window reflections

the weather the soft
breath the abyss
the still moment

a cruel season
of vacancy
waiting in the hollow

the plan is the church bells
and the lost crow
calling me back. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 393 [topic] => 73 [informant] => ming [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract ) Your Poetry Dot Com - the chasm inside
