To my mother
Martha Lucille Sebastian
My mother was a good woman
And I know God has blessed her soul.
In our minds she will live forever
And never ever grow old.
Her heart was as big as Texas
Her love was spun of gold.
She never met a stranger
And I believe in the stories she told.
She taught me to have faith in tomorrow
And to remember the good in the past.
To never make judgments harshly
Because we all have ghost that will last.
Her thoughts were forever moving
And her hands were constant in their task.
She was devoted in the help she gave to others
And she lived her life steadfast.
There are many in this world that loved her
And far more in that world to which she has gone.
We will be able to forever know her
In the dreams that she has passed on.
