We dance clumsily around my feelings for you
until someone steps in and whisks you away
I don't stop them because deep inside I think
maybe this is what you really deserve and need
Maybe you'll be happier if I don't tell you how I feel
because that will just make things more complicated
and I want you to be happy because I now how amazing it feels
it's that feeling when you tell me you love me even though
I know it's not in the way i want you to mean it because
asking for something more would just be selfish
I know I couldn't give you all of the things that they could
So I'll keep practicing my dancing until I'm good enough
But until then is it okay if I'm selfish one last time

Every conversation we have is an awkward two-step
We dance clumsily around my feelings for you
