Liverpool is the birthplace of many, but home to a chosen few
Liverpool people are Liverpool
No matter if your red or blue

We love football here because it's in our DNA
We love our footballing heroes who played for this great club
We watched them on the telly
We watched them score great goals

We all have our favourites from yesteryear
Rush, Dalglish, Hughes, Fowler, Barnes, Carragher
To only name but a few of many
And now there's another to add to the list of legends

Remember there's only one Steven Gerrard
Liverpool till the end
He kicked the ball forty yards
He was big and he was hard
Ste Gerrard, Gerrard

Liverpool is the birthplace of many, but home to a chosen few
