Silence is a Guest
Date: Sunday, 4th January 2015 @ 05:47:19 PM AEST Topic: Sad Poetry
Contributed By: Invierno
When silence decides to drop in for a spell;
the whirring and myriad intrusions-
an assault really, on my peace-
My mind is fine sans the pulsing hum
of humanity-
Oprah, Cops, opinions on this and
that-
surely one moment to swim in my own waters,
to breast the cool to shock then soothe
with no here, no right now;
I can float and the world can spin without me
treading within my treasured void of sound.
