A little face with big blue eyes
looks up into the night time sky
and sings:
"Twinkle, twinkle little star
tell me Mommy is heaven far?
I didn't get to say good-bye,
and when you left my Daddy cried.
I need to come and bring you home,
so me and Dad won't be alone.
Mommy is it far
to Heavens gate?
Can I ride my bike that far,
or maybe Dad could drive the car?
Mommy, are you that far away?
Can you come home to us and stay?
Someone told me you are a star,
is that you shinning up so far?
Mommy is it far
to Heavens gate?
Grand-Ma says you are with God.
I'll trade him for my fishing rod,
I'll give him every thing I got.
I know it's not an awful lot,
but maybe he will understand
how much I need to hold you hand.
Mommy is it far?
Here's my fishing pole."
