Entangled

I stumbled out the back door,
To get an easy out
I turned and saw the stairs
Man, what happens now?
I tripped and hit every ledge
All the way down
A scarecrow down
I rose with my hands all bloodied
Another boring sound
Soon I regained my vision
And meandered down the hall
Damn this town
I hold on to rails to keep from flyin'
Man, you know I ain't lyin'
And so I laugh to keep from cryin'
Every day, I keep on fightin'
Hips entangled,
Legs entangled,
Knees entangled,
Feet entangled.
A day or two has passed now,
Since that hollow sound
And as I stare up top,
Simple it seems now
And so why should I fuss
Surely I came out fine
I hold on to rails to keep from flyin'
Man, you know I ain't lyin'
And so I laugh to keep from cryin'
Every day, I keep on fightin'
Hips entangled,
Legs entangled,
Knees entangled,
Feet entangled,
So entangled
