Tonka Trucks Flattened Yellow

Tonka trucks flattened yellow splat as Mars tromps past
Earth en' route to Venus while Coney Island falls to last
years hot dog eating winner.
New York of the shiny million glassy eyes, some bright
all dark from hights they think are high,
flat landers look up not in envy, up in pity and at times
disgust.
The rule of no rule motors on, driving gears and brains
of no traction but (amazingly) there are gains,
of masked faces tippy-toe beyond massive gates and
Venetian games- the other side of fire hydrants spewing
cool and wet for non-select never destined for the eyes
above the 13th story no staring out on rooftops and so
missing Mars approach.
