Peace Fully

Upon these green meadows,
I stare upon the vastness.
My empty thoughts roam about,
Above me, waiting to be filled.
I watch as they take shape,
Like water they are formless
Unless given a structure.
From within or without,
They are influenced by something unseen.
I wonder what it is that makes them what they are.
How much of me is really me,
How much is someone else?
Quietude, that is where my kingdom lies.
Away from the jungle,
Free from marketing and noise.
Finding wonder in the morning dew,
As it reflects the quiet all around.
Peacefully I want to grasp
Peace fully so it is mine,
And not something I pick up and run out of to pick up and run out of.
