Those Eyes

Those eyes tell me two stories
Reflecting the one you are and the one you try to be
Your carefree laugh can make me laugh
Cynically at your performance
Yet hopefully for a turn around
Young lady, yes I address you as such
Why do you attempt to defy perfection
Silky golden waves surround your face
A witty and cheerful smile comes next
Let's mention those eyes again
Wide with wonder yet beady with observation
Accentuated by a chocolate tint
All truly depicts a girlish persona for us to see
There is no way to otherwise to convince me
You are as the Lord fashioned you
Those fancies you have are mere distractions
That wish to steer you from
Representing divine creation
