Meditate a While

a temple for its quietude,
churches in their praise:
incense and slow ritual
marking holy days
spirits lifted skyward,
tonic for the soul:
bodies healed in harmony
feel the heavens roll
embrace your mother Gaia,
dance beneath the moon:
taste the sacred and profane
to make your passions swoon
whisper to the angels,
let faeries braid your hair:
pulse along your chakras
and move from Zen to there

a place to sit and ponder,
substance over style:
the world can wait an hour,
so meditate a while.
