Confusion's Journey

I've sent my heart on a journey through the years,
as it walks I fill it with tears.
Heartbreaks, slashing my heart with whips,
my heart survived all these awful trips.
The one I gave my trust and respect,
there was not one flaw I could detect.
But then the lies I discovered filled my heart with fear,
I had thought the journey's end was near.
But my heart is stronger than my mind,
and eventually another love it will find.
It'll learn what's wrong and right,
and go through every hurdle with a fight.
But when will my heart reach the end?
When love finds the right letter to send.
