Ice Cream

You say I'm like the taste
Sweet and to the point
You say I can be just like a vanilla cone
If you take too big a bite, I get in your head and cause you pain.

You say I can be tasteless like the cone at times
That I can be worth only a dime
But the few who do want me don't finish me quickly
They savor my icy presence.

For they know in their heart
I'm one of a kind
Perhaps you should part
With the cone and the ice cream.

But that wouldn't be an actual ice cream, would it?
Be all the wiser
And save yourself the pain
In exchange for the remaining time before I melt.
