[bodytext] => it's been too long since I've written anything, and I hope this is a decent enough piece not to be flayed alive(I jest, I jest, seriously though, it's been too long and I hope both my spelling and grammar have improved in this long absence from writing poetry)

In the shadows did it lay
Whispering softly that I may
Find the hubris in my soul.

In the shadows did it whisper
Gently stroking on its whisker
So I may fulfill my role.

In the shadows did it help me
Offered arm that held me gently
And kept at bay the gaping hole.

In the shadows did I stumble
Startled by a distant rumble;
Lost my footing and I fell.

In the shadows did it hit me
Evil scent that cannot be
And found myself a guest in Hell. it's been too long since I've written anything, and I hope this is a decent enough piece not to be flayed alive(I jest, I jest, seriously though, it's been too long and I hope both my spelling and grammar have improved in this long absence from writing poetry)

In the shadows did it lay
Whispering softly that I may
Find the hubris in my soul.

In the shadows did it whisper
Gently stroking on its whisker
So I may fulfill my role.

In the shadows did it help me
Offered arm that held me gently
And kept at bay the gaping hole.

In the shadows did I stumble
Startled by a distant rumble;
Lost my footing and I fell.

In the shadows did it hit me
Evil scent that cannot be
And found myself a guest in Hell.
